F.A.Q.
How is my price determined?
Do we have samples of our work?
When our estimator shows up to your project, he or she will have a case with all the colors and finishes we currently provide. You will be able to touch and feel each finish and see the colors applied on 2×2 tiles. We have over 70 colors and three different finishes.
Are we licensed and insured?
Unique Stone Resurfacing™ division of our main corp. has all the state-required business licenses as well as liability insurance and workers compensation insurance for employees.
What are the care instructions?
DO use only non-abrasive, liquid cleaners or mild soap and water. Your refinished surface can be easily wiped clean with a damp cloth or sponge and mild detergents or general-purpose cleaners, such as Fantastik®, Formula 409®, Windex®, Glass Plus®, Mr. Clean® Top Job, Lysol® Disinfectant Foam, Pledge® Multi Surface, or Lestoil
DO rinse thoroughly and use a soft sponge to wipe down the surface.
DO NOT use any liquid or powder cleansers that contain abrasives, bleach or strong acids, such as cleaners for tile, grout, ceramic stove tops, toilet bowls, etc.
DO NOT use steel wool, brushes or abrasive sponge pads!
DO NOT use your countertop as a cutting board. Although cuts and scratches can be repaired, it will require the service of Euro Painting, Inc., which is an extra expense. DO NOT allow any cleaners to remain on surface for an extended period of time before thoroughly rinsing.
Bathtubs
DO NOT use any type of suction mounted accessories such as soap dishes, shampoo and conditioner holders, and, most importantly, suction type bathtub mats. These products will pull on the refinishing 24 hours a day, and over time they might ruin the coating of your bathtub or tile.
DO NOT bathe animals in the bathtub. Their claws are very sharp and can scratch the refinished surfaces. If you must use the bathtub to wash your pet, put a soft rubber pad or bathtub mat over the surface and be very careful. Remember to remove the bath mat after each use.
Do we offer a warranty?
All refinished surfaces are warranted for a period of one year, against bubbling, peeling, discoloration.
Does refinishing have an odor?
Our new epoxy countertop finishes contain solvents which are necessary to make the finish hard and durable. We use special ventilation fans and a ducks system to exhaust odors and smells from the work area. Dissipation of the odor depends on a variety of factors including temperature and amount of air moved. Generally, most of the odor dissipates within few hours as the finish cures creating a long-lasting, beautiful finish!
How long we have been in business?
We have been a premier contractor since 2001, originated in the state of New Mexico.
Can we fix chips, knife marks, burns and scratches?
Chips, knife marks, burns, and scratches can be repaired during the preparation stage of the refinishing process. All surface damage is cleaned, sanded, filled, and sanded smooth before refinishing.
What makes our refinishing process superior?
The combination of diligent preparation, our bonding agent, and cutting-edge coatings sets us apart from all other refinishers. The original surface is always completely cleaned and surface scratches and chips are filled and repaired. Next, the surface is treated with our bonding agent, which generates a bond between the current surface and the new coating.
Do I need to prepare anything before the technician arrives?
Yes. Any leaking faucets and loose tile or grout should be repaired before we can refinish them. You should remove any soaps, shampoo, razors, toothbrushes, curtains, shower rods, hanging caddies, pictures, etc. from the area. Any item you can move with your hands should be removed.
