Step 1
Protecting your property
Unique Stone Resurfacing™ takes great care to ensure that the surrounding area is protected and that there is proper ventilation throughout the process.
Step 2
Important! Surface preparation
The tub’s surface is cleaned using a chemical agent process to remove soap scum, body oils, and hard water deposits. Special abrasive materials are used to ensure a thoroughly clean and smooth surface, if needed the tub will be stripped entirely to ensure proper bonding. Chips, scratches and other damaged areas are filled and repaired.
Step 3
Bonding, keeping it all together
The essential factor to a good tub resurfacing job is getting the new finish to stick to the old surface. Unique Stone Resurfacing™ bonder chemically secures the new finish onto the old surface. Our exclusive product adheres firmly creating superior durability. Once the surface is properly prepared, we then apply the two coats of our exclusive bonding material which chemically adheres to the surface; it doesn’t just “lay” on top. Once dry, the process will continue with our “cross-linking” action. “Cross-linking” is a chemical reaction between our bonding agent and the subsequent coats that gives our product the superior power necessary for unmatched durability. Without this “cross-linking” action, coats would simply lay on top of the tubs surface allowing the 2 coats of bonding to move and loosen over time.
Step 4
A brand new look!
Multiple layers of our exclusive refinishing coating will be applied, allowing the preceding coat to dry or set. Finishes are available in either gloss or matte finish, and will dry to the touch within minutes. Euro Painting uses only the most technologically advanced products, and through distinctive techniques a resurfaced tub can be ready to use within 24 to 48 hours.
